Sorry, I really don't mean to offend but that is something the man at the Sofa Factory did on a long tea break with
a spare bit of fake leather ohmy.gif sick.gif ohmy.gif

What on earth is wrong with a Brodit ?
FlashBastd
Not flattering lighting, in the "flesh" it looks much better.

And doesn't look like an afterthought in the same way as a dashmount / brodit bracket, but each to their own.

Anyways good luck with the sale. What are you going to use for the phone now ?

Does the glovebox still open normally with it fitted? Also how badly does it block the stereo and heater controls for the passenger?

No clue what I will use now as I don't have a car at present! Currently running around in a borrowed Ka, using a universal screen mount!

Glovebox completely unaffected.

Access to the climate controls is no problem, access for the passenger to the stereo controls on the far left is a little more awkward, however the most commonly used stereo controls are on the right anyway.

Finally sold the car about 2 weeks ago, for a lot less than I paid for it, but it had to go.

that's a shame mate, but the market is pretty depressed at the moment.

Yes, and the IS has been taking a major beating. They weren't a "book" car even back in October, but over the last three months mine fell by around 9% per month, and the book's trade values were still unachievable. Mind you, I only got about £1,100 less than I was offered in Px against a used Mini back in December, so I guess I just paid too much in the first place. I figured as I was paying around £2k less than identical cars at Lexus dealers, I couldn't go wrong - but I did! I also hadn't realised how important full Lexus history is. In my experience, with most cars over three years old a good independant is fine, but it puts a lot of people off with the Lexus. Don't think it made a lot of difference to what I ended up getting though.

Back on depreciation, the Honda has been taking similar hits. This VED bollocks, along with oil prices, has completely knackered the market.

On the plus side, once I know what is happening with work, an E36 M3 could be on the cards, they are cheap as chips now - just watch out for the VANOS failing! For the meantime though, I am probably just going to get a cheap city car. I am loving running this Ka, just miss the a/c and remote locking.
