Just been looking through the user manual for my IS200 and it says that
The interior light can be made not to come on or the duration of lighting can be changed, Ask your Lexus Dealer for details?
Does anybody know how to change the light so it stays on longer/shorter?? Is it another timer thats fitted by the dealer? or is there a timer on the car thats adjustable and if so, does anybody know where it is??
Thats ok mate, was just wondering more than anything, as i never knew the timing could be changed

When ignition on or keys in accessory position the delay is much shorter (2-3 seconds) than if the ignition is off (15-20 seconds).
Seems about right to me, but I never knew you could adjust it either.

yes it can be adjusted, as well as a few other features, like...the sensitivity of the Auto headlights
the dealer has to do it though

Who can figure out how to hack it then?

why hack it...or try to?
its controlled through OBDII compliant port scanning, you will need the Toyota aspect of an OBDII scanner to change the settings
