I have a RX400h se-l and was wondering if it is possible to lock the doors whilst the automatic boot is closing so when the door finally closes the car doors are closed and locked ?

I have tried it and just get a continous beep until the boot closes and then I have to lock it via the key

Unfortunately I think the answer to that one is no. I found out the hard way when I left my car parked in Birmingham having pressed the 'close rear door' button on the key followed by the 'lock' button. When I returned to the car the car some Brummy had helped themselves to the contents of my glove compartment - that's when I found out that the lock button does not lwork untill the rear door is fully closed. It would be so easy for Lexus to fix this.....
