Hi,
You may have seen an earlier post when my local independant garage agreed a price of £100.00 ( parts not included) to replace my cambelt on the UCF10 engine.
In it went yesterday after reconfirming the price but then a snag I was told it couldn't be done that day because it needs a special cam locking tool as "it's a tight engine" and and to rebook it after his return from holidays.
So here is the question does it need the cams locked as I thought it was non interference and do these tools exist? icon14.gif

Yes the cams need locking so they dont go out of sync , If your handy with metalwork you can make your own , I made one for ford 16v engines but then again its basically a straight bit of flat bar .
