Dan mate sorry to see another Lex been damaged hope you find who did it and rip there :tsktsk: eyes out :tsktsk: Hope you can get it sorted mate :)
Dan_Harris
Tell me about it Chris, can't believe it! Going to give it a good wash and polish and see how it comes up :(, any ideas on scratch removal?
aaronabbott
super resin polish, but the scratch looks too deep
Dan_Harris
fast ordered a kit called Quixx hopefully it gets to me in time
T22DLH
rub it with 1500 wet and dry paper but not to hard, then machine polish it with farecla cutting compound. or take it to a body shop and ask them if they would manage to polish it.

it looks like its just the laquer thats scratched, it hasn't went through to the paint.

Complete & utter :tsktsk: no words can really describe these scum who take pleasure in trying to wreck your car that you painstakingly saved up for over a great amount of time sacrificing other items to go that extra mile for a " Lex "
wish you all the best in finding these morons mate !
Dan_Harris
from the looks of things it doesn't appear to be a keying, just a careless individual who's just brushed past, it hasnt gone completely through the metal. Hopefully my repair kit will come before JAE and i'l be able to get it looking close to new :(
LexusIS200Sam
dan mate, il be up the stadium tonight. il take a look and give you my opinion as im a automotive refinisher.

SHAHZ
gutted for ya mate, looks like it may have been a kids bike going past if its not a key :tsktsk:
Dan_Harris
SHAHZ you hit the nail on the head i think there mate,

Sam didn't see you up MK tonight, let me know when your next about and i'l come see you so you can have a look.
Scorps01
Gutted for you Dan, i thought these things only happened to me, but it goes to show there are some jealous people about everywhere. I dont think its a kids bike as there will be dents too and no kid will go the whole length of the car before realising what hes done/doing, its mindless jealous idiots who have no regard for another persons property. :crybaby:

Steviewevie

Dan_Harris
yeh I'm really happy, the car will be going to Paul (norkep) to be sorted out, and shall be better than new ready for JAE :), although this does mean the HID conversion is going to have to wait until after JAE i think :(
norkep

Dan_Harris
First night that i've slept without my Lex sat outside to greet me in the morning, took me 2 hours to get to sleep. Should i consult a doctor? :P

Don't get me started, or I'll rant all day.

Hope you get this sorted and I hope the little **** responsible gets violated in the most painful and disgusting way imaginable.
Dan_Harris
Good news folks, received a phone call from a friend who knows who's responsible for my car! And the story checks out, only thing is the person that did it did not have a motive to do so, but they used a clipper lighter and rolled it down 4panels. Ohhh I can't wait :)
aztecbandit1
Nice one mate,

Put a photo advert in the local paper letting people know what he/she does to people's cars in their spare time? :)
Dan_Harris
that's actually not a bad idea, can't see the paper going for it though! I checked out the progress on the repairs tonight and i'm mightily impressed, at JAE we can have a game of spot the scratch :D
Dexta
sorry to hear about your car, anyone who does this kina thing should be :tsktsk: keyed themselfs. i feel a man hunt starting :)
spikes

Dan_Harris

Steviewevie
