just been looking through the forum and come up with a few ideas and i wanted to see what everyone thinks, (dont know if im getting carried away lol)

my ideas
1- to have led strips located underneath each front seat and in the footwells that can either be switch on, off or come on with the courtesy light and fade out.
2- to have courstesy lights under each door so when opened lights up the ground oustide the car
3- to have some lights under the wing mirror so when the car is unlocked with the key fob they light up the ground by the car (thanks parthiban)
4- white led eyebrows for my sidelights with a smaller orange strip next to it for my indicator

what colour do you guys think i should go for on 1, 2 and 3 white/blue/red/????
im thinking of blue but any pics would be a help
btw whatever colour i have, i will change the map and courtesy/dome light to match

i know its probally a bit OTT but any suggestions would be apprciated

cheers
Parthiban
Personally I'd go for white all round, but that's just me :)

Speak to Wozza about the footwell lights, his ones seem to work perfectly :D

I'm actually interested how this works out as then I'll have someone to bug when I get round to doing it myself! :P

I didn't bother with strips under the front seats as I never travel in the back, and rarely have back seat passengers.
This is two 12" long RED LED strips (cost about £13 inc postage from E-Bay). They are wired soley to come on as
the dome light does, and fade out in exactly the same time/manner.

I believe Yaumeister was attempting to do a similar thing, but ran into problems. It is possible, but I wouldn't
suggest using the door marker lights as a feed, but maybe as a trigger for a relay to switch them on/off.
I would suggest there is no need for a delay as you wont see them fade with the door in the closed position :winky:

Would have to be inlaid into the mirror housing to look good IMO, but deffo possible using a parrallel feed to the dome light
to work in exactly the same way as the footwell courtesy light.

Yaumeister has yellow lightbrows running along the top of the headlights connected to his indicators
to flash in time I believe (but maybe timed to flashe exactly opposite, I can't remember which way).

entirely up to you, I went with a Red LED colour scheme as evryone else had gone for Blue or White interior LED's.
I would suggest white so long as the LED's are not too bright. I have
Red Glovebox Led's
Red Dome Led's
Red Map Reading LEd's
Red Footwell courtesy lights

Love them to bits :winky:

When fitting these lightbrows, a quick blow 250mA fuse was fitted with mine along with a Diode to ensure electrical safety.......
Fuse everything you are going to fit !! Better to be safe than sorry matey.

I will be at Folkstone either Tuesday or Weds this week, send me a PM if you wanna hook up and take a look at mine,
or need any further info etc whilst I am down your neck of the woods.....

Maybe a little over the top.....but will look good if you do it well.

I have blue LED interior but thinking of changing the front interior light for a super bright one, as not really enough light to see well by when you need it! Will keep the centre blue, as looks good on remote unlock, blue on black leather. Courtesy footwell lights sometime soon, once i figure out how Wozza did it!

Very easy to do matey, Wire the footwell lights to the ignition barred light with an inline fuse and they will come on when you unlock and go off the same time as the interior light :D
