As our RX recently had its 60K service I thought I should post my experiences and thoughts, should they be of any help to other LOC Members.

Although our car has covered only 51K at time of service, it was due to the full 60K service given is age. It was booked into Lexus MK for the work and we had only one real item of additional work for them to 'fix': the drivers side wing mirror had stopped automatically dimming in the weeks leading up to the service ad I asked them to have a look at it. Other than this, there really wasn't anything else that needed attention (this is a Lexus after all!).

Also falling due was the brake fluid change.

They had the car for a whole day and when I went to collect it was advised of the following:

1. Wing Mirror would cost about £180 (all inc.) to supply and fit.
2. N/S handbrake cable seized and requires replacing £250 (all inc.) to supply and fit.

Neither parts were in stock and the car was booked in to go back the following week - no problems.

Now the good news:

1. We opted to extended the Lexus Warranty (£825) on the car earlier this year when it was due for renewal and were very pleased to see the wing mirror covered - usually all mirror and glass are specifically excluded, but the Warranty company accepted the claim without issue.
2. We bought a Lexus Service Package for the car and consequently had nothing to pay - but idly enquiring what the cost was likely to have been, Lexus MK advised circa £450 (all inc.).

All in all very happy with the way our RX is ageing and the whole dealer experience was superb (will post Dealer related feedback in the appropriate section).

Hope this helps others on the forum in some way ...
