I'm thinking about tuning my GS300 from 240 hp to 300hp but I don't the engine will take the pressure, so if anyone tried it can you help?

The 2JZ-GE is a very strong engine, I don't see a problem.
Are you going to use Forced Induction.

The GS300 engine is used in the Aristo Vertex - 300BHP should be no problem at all

That is the 2JZ-GTE, not totally the same engine.
We have the 2JZ-GE.

I thought i read somewhere if your going down the turbo route you could only safely use up to 7 psi, otherwise you'd have to change the head gasket, pistons, rings, valves etc, to take the extra power, is this right?

i run 300 horses with nitrous on my IS300,, no problem..

How have you got your 300 to 240bhp as they are only 218 standard in this country?
Engine will have no problems with 300bhp as standard. The block can take 1000bhp but you need to do quite a bit of other work to get that.
Not sure what the gearbox can take. People are running a 300 box over 300bhp without problems but the GS400 had a modified box and the GS430 modified further still - may just be Toyota wanting to maintain the same level of over engineering rather than the box actually needing to be uprated.
