Hello
I'm new in here. I'm from Malta and in the process of buying a new RX400h, most probably new from the UK, since we drive on the same side as you guys.
I would like to ask in which country is the RX400h produced/built?
Thanks

Isn't it Japan? I'm guessing there is no sticker in the windscreen saying where it was built like the RX300...

Pretty certain that all Lexus cars sold in Europe are built in Japan.
Lexus also build cars in the US for the USA/Canadian markets.

Unless things have changed it used to be:
RX400h in Japan.
RX300/350 in Japan for European market and Canada for N.American market.

RX400 made in Japan, are far better made than the Canadian ones.
I have one Japanese 2006,and tested some imported from US lately.
The Canadian are "toys",building quality and overall feeling much worse.

Yes, that's why I want to make sure that if I buy a new one in the UK it is built in Japan.
Do you guys think a dealer is a trusted source? Or they would just say whatever they consider most profitable for them?

There's rather an easy way of telling where the car is made and that is look at the vin number, if it starts JT that means Japan Toyota, which incidently one in the UK would anyway as Canadian and Kentucky built Toyota/Lexus are all left hand drive.
