Hi all

I started my Conversion on my IS200 some months ago to put the 4L V8 1UZ-FE thats in the Lexus LS400


The Engine has done 120,000 miles but then so has my IS200, so i dont only have the engine i have the rest of the car as well to get some bits off. as its been done before........i have get all the info i need, the gearbox is going to take most of the time to do as the LS gearbox is auto and i want to convert it to manual...........i know there are 2 or 3 gearboxs out there that will fit but i will have to swap the bellhousing over for a custom made one, that i will be geting from ThorRacing

as for the ECU.........I will be useing the LinksPlus standalone....ECU

as for fueling, i will be keeping the std njectors for now. i have all so run new lines from the tank to FPR to fuel rails & return lines

dont think i will have to mod the sump like on most Conversion,s on the IS as the sump on the 1UZ-FE sits at the front of the engine so it should fit over the cross member on the IS,
the good thing about this swap is that the 1UZ is an all aluminum construction that makes it just as light as the 1G-FE + The Rods are factory forged units, + it has factory forged crank as well.



I will be useing the (R154) 5 speed Supra box, once the car is up and running that is, to start with im useing the auto/box from the LS400

and at that point, there was still lots of work to be done, as the V8 was just siting there. i had to then see what room i had for the manifolds & all so see what room i had for the Turbo, Rad, and all the intercooler pipe work,

every time i get some cash come in..( i think to myself i will get this and that with it .......but then some bills come in )

But its geting there, i know it has taken me along time, its geting there and soon to be eating up some M3,s......sorry if you own an M3 but where i am they think they own the road and it makes me sick....as it was am M3 that pulled out on me on the A2, and i ended up with this

Current Ausie exchange rate is $1 - £0.40.... or 2.45 dollars to the pound

with the turbo setup im doing, it should make around 400/450bhp and thats from a stock V8 as well

But i do have a 2nd V8 siting here, that i will be playing with once i have the IS running.....

put the V8 in the boot and run the fronts.. 4wd.. lol

cant wait to hear it run.. got a feeling it might sound a tad meaty... lol

any one know where i can get the greddy front lip for the IS been looking all over the place for it.....

Hey Marcus good to see that things are still going on with this build. Sounds good you turbo'in, after seeing a few at some of the EDC round this year i would want to go ITB's on a V8 if i had one, there proper meannnnn LoL.

A long shot but you dont have any Clutch forks or 1st - 2nd and 3rd - 4th selector forks laying around do you ? The ones on my R154 are worn and toyota want £50+ each for the selectors

yea im still geting on with this ellz i had to stop for along time, as i was out of work but i have abit of work comeing in now...so i have started to do what i can..

sorry mate, i dont as i need to get all them for my setup, still have to get clutch and flywheel, as and when i need it i think i will be calling roger at ThorRaceing for the Flywheel & clutch setup, sorry mate.....
