I live in Redhill, Surrey.
I really, really want to keep her, but I'm putting her up for sale as **************** (sob story deleted in case there are any children reading).
The car has done 84,000 mostly motorway miles and has the usual kit including sat nav and the Sport body kit with lowered suspension.
The good bits?
Everywhere it puts those IS200 drivers well behind (I always feel smug when passing one [apologies if I offend anyone here
It's straight - the mileage is true and the car hasn't been modded (apart from new parts below).
It has a Lexus service history out to 60,000 miles, it's just been serviced by me (I'm an aircraft and vehicle engineer by trade) with new Mintex brake discs and pads all round, new filters, plugs etc, and it has 4 brand new Pirelli tyres (no cheap rubbish!).
It was WIM'd a month or so ago.
There's no body damage.
It's automatic - easy around town, and, on roads, if you left foot-brake and use the semi-auto buttons you're faster than an equivalent manual would be using the right foot to brake and accelerate at the same time.
The papers say petrol is coming down in price soon.
Thanks to our prime minister's decision to back-date exorbitant road tax increases and increased petrol prices, the price has fallen considerably over a few months.
The tax is due before the rises take place, saving a bit for the annual increases coming up.
I'll get it a new MOT before sale.
The bad bits?
The mileage is on the high side.
The alloys show a few kerb dings and will need refurbishing sooner rather than later.
It's not light on petrol.
The cigarette lighter isn't working, but I'll get it fixed.
Price? I've not yet done the research (I'm posting more for info as readers are here because.........they have a Lexus already), and welcome input on what a fair price would be - I'll be doing a trawl of Autotrader and the price guides etc this weekend.
Cheers,
Ian
