hello all

have been away in australia for awhile now great time but when i came back to my lexus is 200 it had a flat battrey
bummer replaced everything going ok but a few days later when i was changing cds it wouldnt work this had happenedbefore but this time it refuses to work at all keeps coming up err3 on screen can anyone help

sorry to say but your stereo is finished, err3 is a common problem and once you get it, your stereo is mashed!

there are places that claim to fix it but everyone i know of break again shortly after,

looks like an after market stereo for you mate, unless you buy a new oem off ebay of the same model

cheers mate i think the one i have must of had this prob before as its says exchange unit on the bottom of it im not having much luck with sterios as i had bought an aftermarket sterio and after a few months it stopped working lucky enough its still under warenty and i hope to get it back soon the origanal one wasw just keeping me going tho i think it has a better sound than the aftermarket one

the other alternative is to connect your ipod, seems to bypass the err3 and thinks your playing an external cd players, should work then, at least you'll have music

cheers can i get a ipod lead to connect to the origanal radio

yup, the grom audio adapter. got mine done yesterday, you can control it with the original radio too!

look at last page, i installed mine so ipod is safely tucked up in the little compartment by the handbrake

There is some models that the grom adapter is not compatible with, just to be safe for your sake, check before you order.
You need the number by your cassette slot (13901-13906) to check. Many members have this and it works fine smile.gif

As long as your headunit doesn't have 13902 on the front you should be fine with the grom unit.
