How good would you say the bodywork is? Any marks / dents on the bodywork or interior?

I will tell you the story of why I have to sell it.

My son 23 has a well paid job laying and connecting gas pipes, he is contracted and was advised to form his own company, everything was hunky dory and he was earning good money 3k a week on a good week, he has a big mortgauge 150k and had a really nice 330ci BMW, he saw a very tasty Mercedes 500sl Brabus for sale at the merc main dealers, used his BMW as the deposit even though he still owed 12k on it and bought this 45k merc, so he has a big mortgauge a £400 a month bmw loan and now a £750 mercedes loan with a 15k balloon in 36 months, well affordable on 3k a week.

A yes you guessed it, the company he contracts to have decided they will only use their own employees, so he has had to go back to being employed which has dropped his wage to around £1200 a week, still a good wage but not enough to run his commitments so I'm going to take the sl off him, Ived had mercs before and I'm really not looking forward to this, Im 50 and could really do without the expense, I tried to get Mercedes to take it back I even offered to drop 8k off the price, that was when he had only had it for 9 weeks and done 1.5k miles in it, but they told me sl season had finished. so this seems the only way around it until he can sort himself out.

Stupid of him yes, we tried to stop him buying it but I was convinced because of the credit crunch and the large amount of debt he already had the would refuse him the credit, this is why this country is in this mess.

thats the story, the car is being sold very very relutantley its always been looked after and not abused.

Why do people waste your time so much??

I have had around 15 emails from this guy haggling about price and asking questions, I had taken the personal number plate off and spent 2 hours and £105 in the DLVA sorting it out, this joker wants the number plate as well, he's called me around 6 times on my mobile today to sort everything out, I've contacted the DVLA to stop the transfer, he's tried to give me a deposit today via Paypal but couldn't get it to work but promised to put a cash deposit into my account in the morning.

I've just had a text message to say he doesnt want the car any more he's found a cheaper one.

So I'm back to the DVLA tomorrow to waste another couple of hours

Some T**TS are just put on this planet to ***** people off.

I like Lexus but I hope the one he buys it a bag of crap censored.gif

That is a poor show. I had a similar thing happened, did loads of haggling online, guy was about to get my previous car for a bargain. He was all set to come up on the weekend to pick it up, and he sent me a whiny email two days before saying he couldn't afford it after all.

Hope you find a sensible buyer. Can't see the piccies cos I'm not a Gold Member but it sounds like a nice car smile.gif

That's interesting.

I see the links to the images, but the URL's look wrong, here's an example:

http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...ost&id=4411

When I click that I get a new page off this forum, but with a red box which says I don't have permission to view. The specific error message is:

Hi Tony

I bought the car July 2007, the car has had 2 previous owners, and I just stuck 12 months tax on it yesterday.
carlsson20
And because I'm starting to get p**d off with all the messing around I will leave the number plate on for an extra £300,( it's been valued at £1500)
carlsson20

I have latest IE and Firefox, and cannot see the pictures.

Guess it is something to do with the security settings, or some other bit of Java code, but not being a tech geek, not sure. But I get the message saying I do not have permission.

Anyways, sounds like a great car and if i had a job I'd be sniffing around as I love that colour.

Still not expecting to get a job in the next five minutes which is a bit of a shame.

Would love to be earning £1200 a week.

All the best selling mate
Paulus
