just got back !
took 8 hrs to get up there, so many traffic jams
and just over 5 coming home
we all arrived at teesside autodrome on the saturday, with high winds and rain on the way, all looking forward to a nights racing
after a couple of sighting laps and a few practice laps, the night finally arrived along with the rain, and the proper racing started
1st lap out i managed to break the joint in the exhaust, with the middle section hanging down and forwards, managed to limp it back to the pits
with a bit of help from fellow competitors we managed to clamp it up,( all but on about 10mm of pipe )!
2nd lap managed to cross the finish line only for it to break again, again with many hands of help we got it back together again
3rd run lasted about 300 yds before it went again, we spent about an hour underneath in the rain and dark before we decided it wasnt going to run again
the force of it being pushed forwards into the ground had shifted everything back and bent up the pipe to the point where it wasnt round at all
so it wasnt the best day for me
but.....once again the weekend was made by the fantastic crowd that have made up the series, they really are the friendliest bunch, always willing to lend a hand or help in one way or another
any one who is thinking of entering next year, really should, i can highly recommend it
