I thought I would do a little update on my car, since I haven't posted for a while. Main reason being ongoing problems with the car and just damn bad luck. Anyway as it stands she is still only running around 190 - 200 BHP and is still overfueling massively. I have checked the codes and is running rich on bank 1 and 2. Had some bad luck over the past few months. Car was parked up and somebody hit it in the front while I was away. Cheeky git left a fake number in the wiper! Also had somebody reverse into the side of me a month later!

Why leave a number if it's fake?

had someone do this to me in a Sainsburys Car Park a few years back

After that I found that one of my 02 sensors had melted. I had the katana manifold fitted and never heat shielded it. This was the result.

Also had a coil pack go on cylinder 5 and all my spark plugs were fouled. So these were all changed, used the bahamotors website manual.

Sorry to hear you still having problems with your car fella. Some people just dont give a F

K anymore. Someone hit my back bumper whilst I was parked up but away from the car and the next day someone else opened their door into the drivers door and put a scratch and dent in the door!
I hope you get it sorted soon.

Now for the nice stuff. Got the damage to the side of my car repaired as it was not my fault, front bumper is still damaged. Anybody no someone that is good at repairing FRP fibreglass? Thought I would do a few mods to the interior. First came the handbrake.
cho
Oct 24 2008, 01:17 PM
Next came the pedal, I had the clutch and brake ones on pretty easy with the use of a drill for one extra whole, the accelerator pedal was a b*tch though.

Also asked Weston Performance if they could now finish mapping my car but they have refused to help, as they think I may have tampered with there map and hence why the car is over fuelling, however if you look back at my previous thread you will see that this was always the case. My first choice of course was Abbey but they said they would not take on any more is200's with Fcons fitted by TDi until they sort out Adies. Apparently the way they have been wired needs to be deciphered before they can be correctly mapped.

I agree with Wozza on the steering wheel. Not many aftermarket steering wheels (especially without airbags) looks good. The TRD wheel is an exception but its a discontinued product now.

I got the boss from RHD Japan, its an Altezza HKB boss. When you remove the steering wheel the first thing you take off is the front pad, airbag is inside there. You disconnect this and their is a little module that comes with a boss kit which you plug in the airbag wiring to. The airbag light then stays off. However I must say that mine has stopped working, so airbag light back on. On the MOT side of things I dont know. One other thing, the boss kit is a bit long so I found that the position of the steering wheel was different (sticks out more) not quite to my liking. May get a custom one in future.

Be carful driving with the fueling mate, as this can foook your engine again

its not good driving with so much fuel going into the cylinders, the fuel that dont get burned goes down the side of your pistons, making the oil very thin, and will damage the cylinder bores and everything else in your engine, you payed for the mapping once, take it back and tell them to finish the job this time

unless you have pennys to burn then get them right now an put some pics up
Good luck!!!

Its getting a massive saga for you isnt it mate,
got to chuckle at Abbey not taking on/finishing any more of TDi's jobs. Speaks volumes in my opinion cause Abbey are so highly thought of by nearly everyone i know in the tuning world.
Hope you get it sorted soon though fella. Personally i'd rip the Fcon out and give it back to TDi demanding the money back and start again with something simple like an emanage.
Look at Sam's Turbo IS, thats runs brilliantly with just an emanage ultimate piggyback ecu, doesnt need a standalone like the Fcon.

Cho, just make sure you are changing your oil more than you should, coz the petrol will be making it very thin and usless to your engine.
As Stav says rip the F-con out, you never needed it in the 1st place, total waste of your money, as im sure ive said many times before

Im guessing the spark timing must be wrong but dont know much about the mapping side of things, a/f readings are deffo rich, no boost leaks, good compression. So has to be the map right?
