Not sure if it's just my particular vehicle, but I've always had trouble fitting new wipers to the GS.
Last time I bought Bosch, which I've been doing for year, and the clip that came with it wouldn't go onto the wiper arm. So I took the clip off the old one (original Lexus part, I think), and that was slightly too wide to go into the gap in the new blade. So I filed it down the necessary amount, fitted it, and all was well.
Today I went into Halfords as the driver side is leaving streaks everywhere. Pick up the 'correct' blade, take it out to the car park, and find that they've changed the spoiler and now not only will the Bosch clip not fit the arm, but the damn thing won't fit at all - the spoiler fouls the arm so the blade won't lie flat on the screen.
Any recommendations? Anyone know how much will a main dealer want for a new blade? Halfords didn't quibble at all - straightforward refund but didn't have any suggestions. I don't want to buy off eBay though, since it's obviously a finicky setup on these cars and it's a lot more hassle trying to get a refund from an eBay seller!!

I think you picked up the wrong blade. The one with the spoiler is pt.no. 701318-0@ £14.99. the one without the spoiler is pt.no. 701219-0@ £13.49. Plus 10% off if you reserve online and collect by Monday.
Hope this helps..Dave

Possibly - it was described as a 24S, ie 24 inch with spoiler. The blade was the one specified in their book... It was certainly the same length, I guess they could have more than one design though!!

My dad got some for his LS400 from a Toyota Dealer, they had to order them as they were the proper graphite coated made in Japan blades not the ordinary optifit ones they usually sell, cost him £4.xx each.

So special-order graphite blades from a main dealer cost only 1/3 of the price of after-market rubber ones in Halfords?
Think I might pay a visit to Lexus Croydon next weekend... Thanks James!

Not sure if a Lexus dealer will charge the same, these were form a Toyota Dealer. Should be the same but who knows, the better coffee machine in Lexus dealers might add 50% to the price

The parts department at Lexus Croydon is the same as the Toyota one. They do a 10% discount for Gold Membership or they used to!
