Hi guys,

Some 'kind' trick-or-treaters hit my mums car with eggs last week and one of them must have smashed the wing mirror glass

Been on to Lexus Stockport and they want £182 + VAT JUST FOR THE GLASS!! I asked Colin (at Lexus Stockport) to double check and that apparenty is the correct price for the glass. Thats rediculous I think.

Contacted Chris @ Cheap Lexus Toyota parts and he came up with £148 + Vat

Not found any in any scrapyards and even if I did most would only sell me the wing mirror not the glass. I don't mind getting a wing mirror if its cheap enough however.

Surely you must be able to get non-OEM glass for the 2003+ onwards RX300???

If anyone knows of a anywhere else to try then please let me know other she will have to pay out almost £180 for a new wing mirror glass.

Judging by the way my hire car RX400 was full up with balk standard Toyota switchear etc i would try them. Jumped into a Corolla Verso only to find the same steering wheel as the RX.

Try sites in the US and A where ripping people off gets you shot.

Hope you need the N/S mirro and can save yourself some money and buy the ones off eBay as DJ says above.

The side needed is the passenger side (left) so great spot Wozza! I have clicked on BUY IT NOW but I am not totally sure if the RX400 and the RX300 wing mirror is the same - 95% sure it is however and my Toyota EPC doesn't have the RX400 on it. (its old!)

Surely a glance at these pics & a glance at the car should clarify ?

The mk2 mirror is a tad smaller than the mk1, as shown in the pic, also the mk1 is more square than the mk2, I reckon you've cracked it, (lol) with the rx400 mirror mate.

The RX400 mirror looks right to me, but like Wozza said will have to check on the car tonight when I get home.

The RX330 and 400h use the same mirrors.....both Mk2.....should be fine.

One good thing about the Lexus is that the cars are pretty much universal: MKII RX = RX400h.

You could even buy some parts out in the US and fit them in your RX here in the UK. Makes for great simplicity

YES fitted great! Mum is now happy her car is back as it should be.
