i use to listen to him every working day...

well he has been sacked... and in my honest opinion i do think it was uncalled for.. i was listening when the incident took place and didnt think twice of it.

anyone else listened to him?

this is taking the *****.... now everyone is going to be scared of saying anything in fear of being sacked even if your not funded by tax payers money!!!

Why/when was he sacked ?
Last time I heard Jon Gaunt there was a bit of a rant going on when he called someone a "Health Nazi"
and TBH I completely agreed with him. (some fella from a Council Adoption Dept)

Talksport is a load of crap now anyway............. the 4 great titans of the station (in my eyes) have all gone..

Tommy Boyd - sacked for failing to stop someone from saying they wante to kill the Royal family, even though his appologised straight away and it was at a point in the show when callers went straight to air unscreened.

Mike Dickin - "my health is not is question"...... tragically killed in a car crash

James Whale - "god father of night time debate", sacked for urging voters to not vote for Ken Livingstone in
the London Elections

Charlie Wolf - didn't keep him on and he left to work at a station in the US last I heard.

Without these its utter pants I hardly ever listen now.

Gaunty I didn't really like but at least he was interesting to listen to. They only have George Galloway left now who is worth a listen, the rest are a waste of time to be honest.............

Mike Dickin sadly missed as is Charlie Wolf by me, the only things halfway decent on there now
are Ian Collins (better doing the 1am-5am slot tho IMO) and Ian Wright cos he's a good laugh
