Dear All,

I am driving a spercharged Lexus IS200 Manual. The supercharge has been installed over 1 year. Recently, I noted lag time during acceleration. Could anyone advise the possible cause?

Cheers

Slipping belt?

Hi sparkystav,

Possible. When I press the paddle fully, the lag time is obvious. When I press the paddle slowly, it is ok. If the cause is slipping belt, how to fix?

Cheers

You need to tighten the tensioner. Its just below the charger on the cradle. you need to loosen the bolt, then have friend push it so the belt is really tight as you tighten the nut again.
i would also suggest changing the belt for a new one.

Thanks Stav,

Just to clarify. Are you referring to the belt driving the supercharger?
