when i turn the sat nav on a message appears ''unable to read data'' ''please check map dvd is correct''

i have checked dvd and there is no marks on it so im not entirely sure that the disc is the problem but would like to buy a new disc befor spending £1500+ on an ICU.

does anyone know where i can get hold of a new disc (dvd navigation map) 2001 version 86271-24120 / 86271-70V310A

lexus dealership have quoted me £180!!!!!! im hoping to find one alot cheaper than that

Have you taken it out and given the disc a clean? My 2002 IS did exactly the same thing a few months ago - took the disc out, all looked fine, but just gave it a clean with a soft lens cloth and then put it back in and everything's ok again.

today i tried again to re insert disc for the sat nav. i listened as i put it in and its making a clicking noise as if its trying to load. but just carries on clicking.... anyone got any idea's as to what the problem is
