Has anyone had their front discs & pads replaced on their is250 by Lexus dealership. I'd like to know how much it costs for supply & fit and what dealership?
Thanks

If you do not want or feel capable of d.i.y, why not take it to WIM if you're in the London area?

WIM is wheels in motion, the place run by Tony (our in house geometry specialist)
I actually recently had my front discs and pads done at WIM and I can't complain, all done well and quickly, and saved a packet from what it would cost at a Lexus dealer. Having said that, WIMs the only non Lexus place that I let work on my car

Not sure how complex front P+D are on the IS, but on the RX they are pretty easy.
I made some enquiries and (if IIRC) the cost [based on the RX] was circa £350 (inc.) IF I had Lexus to do the work.
In the end I bought original items from Lexus Woodford for £160 (all inc.) and fitted them myself. Had to phone around a couple of dealers TBH to get such a great price - but well worth it.

had front disc and pads fitted at 20k service £210.had a rant at Lexus customer care stating that I do not think I should have to replace the discs at 20k and after several emails got a full refund on the discs (as a good will gesture) hmmmmmm.
cheers

See I'm not convinced about the quality of P+D fitted to cars these days.
When I had my BMW (E46) 330i it had done 60k miles on front and rear discs - and they were still going strong. Ofcourse it had had pads changed, at around 30K, but that was a car driven in a spirited manner and never had issues with OE brakes. The RX we have (MKII) I changed the front discs @ 50K which I thought was very reasonable.
Now my Mother has a [auto] Polo 9N which needed new P+D @ 22K - the car is a 2005/05 - and I was shocked...there is no way my Mother drives in a spirited fashion to warrant such excessive usage. Got P+D FOC from VW and paid the labour (£100).
Seems shocking that P+D wear out as quickly as they do - now I can change P+D on most cars in my family and thereby save on the cost of labour - but still, I continue to be shocked @ how quickly they do wear out...
