I had no problem ever with fuel consumption...5.8 litres per 100klm was my average.

Had a recall for 5th injector change, I gave it a great deal of thought as I don't agree with fixing things that aren't broken.

Well I went ahead...a week later the car IS220D went into limp home mode and I had to have both the CAT and the EGR valve replaced.

Now my fuel consumption is at best averaging 6.8 litres per 100klm...well done LEXUS...I don't think!!!

I've experienced the same. Was averaging 40mpg before the 5th injector was replaced. Now i'm averaging 37mpg at best regardless of how easy I drive it. I also think that the flat spot in 1st gear is also now much worse. I certainly think the car was better before the change.
