Can anyone please tell me how to remove the inner felt lining of the boot lid?
I need to fit a new number plate but cannot remove the plastic screw thingys which seem to be holding the lining in. I have tried twisting them (unscrewing), pushing them in and pulling them out.
How do you remove them?
Are the screws which hold the number plate on screwing into the boot lid, a fixed nut or a loose nut?
Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

i use a flat bladed screw driver then a pair of long thin nosed pliers to get them off

Don't try to unscrew them, they just turn 1/4 turn to free them.
