Just been to Lexus Derby to pick up the gaskets for the starter motor project and was talking to the parts guy.
Apparently if you can make a modified spanner you can replace the EGR pipe in around 30 minutes so I am going to have a look into this.

keep us posted,, very interested as mines booked for mot on the 12th dec and my egr is deff blowing and im not sure if this will efffect emissions. Either way i want to get it sorted as the extra noise is annoying.

my car failed mot because of the egr being broken. a mechanic mate at my work replaced it no problem after taking the cat off first.
