Hello Lexus owners - me again!

Some of you may recall my episode when going to buy a 220D Sport from a independent dealer a month ago (turned out the car had been previously written off!) and most on here advised me to wait, and the right car would come along!

So I did - and I think it has!

Have negotiated a great price on a 220D SE-L and think I am going to seal the deal tomorrow - however, as yet, I have only seen images of the car, and have a question about something...

The car has a screen where the a/c etc normally is...

Does this mean the car just has sat nav, or does it mean the car has full multimedia package installed (I'm not sure nav was a standalone option - I think it was either MM or not, and that was it)

If it DOES mean the car has the MM - what does this entail?

Nav?
DVD Player?
Better Sound System?
Rear camera rather than sensor?
Bluetooth Phone Prep?

Hopefully someone who knows about these things can advise ASAP, as it may be what seals the deal for this car!

Thanks

Yes, the car has the full multimedia package with the following main features:

- Sat Nav
- DVD player
- Mark Levinson 14 speaker sound system
- Rear camera and parking sensors (all SE-L have parking sensors as standard, so you get visual and sound alerts)
- Bluetooth
- Other minor features (AC controlled through the screen, Calendar, Maintenance etc.)

Just as a note, the SE-L and the SPORT versions drive different. The Sport version drives better with lower gear ratios (but higher CO2 emissions). Have you taken an SE-L for a drive?
nidgemo
Cheers mate

Yeah, I am aware of the differences, and the sport does drive slightly nicer, but I'm not a huge speed freak, so the SE-L will be fine for me hopefully!

Anything else in difference between the models I should be aware of?
Parthiban
The positives for the sport are the gearing and the 18" alloys........other than that the SE-L is much better specced so you won't be missing anything.
nidgemo
Excellent. I do prefer the leather to the cellensia - that aside, spec seems much the same, apart from the car I'm looking at is specced up with the MM.

Regarding actually using the MM - is there a specific thread on here about it, screenshots etc? (Sorry, I'm new here and don't really know my way round!
nidgemo
Oh yes - is the Nav for this DVD based?

If so, I'd need to be making very sure the dealer has the DVD and I get it, as it won't run without it, would that be right?
Parthiban
The SE-L has lots of little extra touches like the electric rear blind, cooled seats, illuminated scuff plates, etc so I'm sure you'll be happy smile.gif

Yep it's DVD based, if it's not in there the nav won't do anything so make sure it's there - I'd be very surprised if they removed it though!
nidgemo
Brilliant

Cheers for the help!
