this is the first time its happened but this morning the car didnt start first time, second time it did but it took longer than usual to crank.

is there anything i should look out for if this happens again?
should I wait for a particular time before trying to start the car again?
how long should I try starting the car for if it doesnt seem to want to start?
aido
Probably just the battery mate, if it keeps getting worse at this time of year then probably time for a new one!

the tezza struggled to start again this evening for the trip home although it did eventually start on the first turn :(

thx, what battery do i need to buy?
aido
I honestly have no idea - can't you just see what you've already got and then take it from there?

Lexus weren't sure what to put in mine and so just advised me to pop to a local battery specialist as they'll have plenty in stock and will be able to sort it there and then!

ahh yes but that's common sense of which i have none! :D

but yes i'll have a looky at the weekend ;)

so last night i managed to leave the map reading light on so when i went to the car this morning I couldnt unlock the car (through the fob) because the battery was flat! *sigh*
so with the problems i had middle of last week i went to halfrauds to get a new battery!

wrote down the specs 330A being the starting power i believe but when i was unable to find the battery i wanted i went to the halfords helpdesk and they said the battery specs i quoted weren't enough for my car!

so if its not 330 what should it be? i'm a little confused :( anyways i bought a 330 battery which has gotten me out of the initial problem.
Aweb
just found the figures i wrote down.

what I had in was 12V 45AH 330A...

based on another thread i've found it sounds way to low!!!

In Russia we calls it "Morning Trouble Of Toyota"
P.S. sorry for a joke :)
P.P.S. my car is starts every morning at first time but my last Toyota was started at second time at cold mornings. I think it`s not a big problem

If your starter rotates the problem is not in the battery. The reason most likely in system of ignition. Old PLUG, SPARK (i dont know how to write it en english. HERE it on number 19100P), also weak pressure in fuel system - that is a problem I think.

Low temperature is the reason of the trouble with start at first time.
