Full Version: Can I Use An Engine Mount From Another Car?
I am in need of the left and right engine mount for a 3SGE Altezza and cannot find it in my country (Dominican Republic). I found some Celica mounts that seem to almost fit but am afraid to use them and end up breaking something. Would any other car's engine mount work for the 3SGE Altezza? If not, where can I order these parts (prefer online)?

Are you doing an engine conversion or just replacing the mounts?
The old rear wheel drive celica (xA60/65) mounts may very well be the same or very similar to the altezza mounts. If the angles are the same and the engine and gearbox sit level then it should be ok... worse than can happen is the rubber rips and the engine/gearbox becomes loose.
Having said that there are numerous online sites that sell toyota parts. Personally I look at the part numbers up in this website and order from local toyota/lexus dealers. Usually takes a couple of weeks to come from japan.
