As per title, is it ok to use redex on the IS200? As my car aint been driven for so long and the petrol in it is really old I thought that when I put it on the road I'll stick some redex in along with a nice full tank of petrol. Will this also help when it comes to getting the mot done, emissions etc?

I'm sure I used Redex in the past mate, personally I'd probably just fill up with V-Power for a few tank fulls, take it to the nearest motorway and just give it some nice high rpm runs keeping in lower gears to blast all the crap out the system :) Amazing how much crap blows out my exhausts if it's been sat doing loads of stop / start town driving!

Used Redex before in the IS and it caused no harm though :)

To be fair in terms of the MOT and emissions I'd doubt Redex would make much difference to be honest but don't really know?

it will be perfectly fine... or another option is that the car will blow up, the world goes into nuclear meltdown and life will end as we know it......

You could also try Forte Fuel Treatment.

I used this in my Astra which i found to be pretty good.

Havent tried it in the Lexus though

Look on Ebay, its what they use in the trade. Cant buy it in the shops
