Hi Guys I have seen a lot of talk about getting your cars wim'd. I dont want to mod the car as I love it standard its a 04/04 limited edition in silver. Its done 45k I wonder where the wim place is or if there is anything like that in or around Newcastle upon Tyne. However i dont have any issues with tyre wear the car passed its MOT yesterday without a advisory note being issued and I was told all the tires are in good condidtion and not wearing on the inside. Will getting the car wim's make it a better drive, I think it drives great as it is the best car ive ever had so smooth
Cheers Guys

If it hasn't been WIM'd then getting the geometry done there will still improve the handling. You will probably be suprised at the difference, I know I was.
WIM are a fair way away from you, in Chesham in Buckinghamshire. But members have travelled further for the WIM experience than from Newcastle !
Another member might be able to recommend somewhere near you that managed to cope with using WIM's settings to do a geo setup. You need somewhere that's got competent people as well as the right sort of equipment.

Just something I thought of, one reason why it's not that straightforward is that the castor angle is something that needs adjusting in the geo setup, and the castor isn't directly adjustable on the IS200, so a lot of garages will scratch their heads and say it can't be done. But basically it can be indirectly adjusted by changing something else. Tony and the WIM boys know all about this of course.

I know its not a lot closer but Tony does recommend Drury Lane Garage in Manchester?
If you send him a pm he'll help you out, can send you the required values and you just give them to the garage to set it up to.
He May also be able to recommend somewhere nearer.

Might be worth checking Drury Lane's prices if you plan on going there, think they charged some members an awful lot for a geo setup.

I've had the geometry done at Drury Lane in the last couple of weeks and the price with adjustments was less than £100. Remains to be seen whether the tyres wear OK but I had it done there a couple of years ago and the tyres lasted 24k miles and not down to the legal limit when I changed them to Goodyear F1 Assymetrical which I am very happy with.

There is nothing like an IS200/300 after being WIM'd with new good quality rubber on !
It's fun time !! Contact Tony at Wheels-InMotion.co.uk and he will advise you further.

They came off Tony's trusted centre a while back when the prices they charged went through the roof.
