Are we able to get track time from here too, or do we have to sort that out ourselves ?

Is anyone else going to be getting some track time ?

i dont understand
Rolex
Yeah come on lets see some names down here
Steviewevie
Can someone tell me more about this event please ? I've been to JAE but not this one. Sounds like this is more track-oriented, is it more a case of watching cars on the track ? Can our cars go on the club stand or does it not work like that ?
Davros
I’ve not been to a Japfest show, but I have been to other event shows at Castle Combe. The shows are normally track day events, but you don’t have to go onto track if you don’t want to. There are club stands around the paddock area and viewing areas around the track, and usually you are welcome to leave your car on the stand all day if you wanted to. Besides cars need to be parked up somewhere when they are not on track.

Is there a cut off date to pay for tickets ?

Japfest is a not just track orientated, i have been to many shows all over the country and i have to say apart from JAE japfest is one of the best, it has everything, club stands, retail stands, sometimes it does a show and shine based on car clubs and the best club wins a prize, and becuase it has a track it also has the driftworks demonstrations and also you get to see some right nutters hairing it round the track in all types of Jap Cras last year we had a Nissan GTR on the track and it was awesome.

Trust you wont want to miss this one. its a MUST definately.

Go on then put me down for this. Should have Stav's supercharger fitted by then - also think i'll pop my track cherry too. So ticket, stand pass and 15 mins track time for me please.
spikes
still waiting to hear from johnboy on how many we need :)
Steviewevie
Looking at Japfest's website, it seems that all the track time is sold out for Saturday, apart from a late slot for "advanced" drivers. There's still time available on Friday though. Friday sessions are more expensive but are longer though, £80 for 3 x 20 mins (no entry ticket for the show required).

Don't worry, I was going to come anyway, I wasn't going to go on the track. I was really posting for others that did want the track though, e.g. edeath.
edeath
Ah well track times not too important. Was at uni in Bath so probs will go for a nice drive afterwards instead as i know the roads. I'm still in minus track time.

Steviewevie
I'll be joining the M4 at Bracknell. Probably in a Yaris rather than my Lex though :( . Have to think about what time to go.

Anyone else thinking of coming on the day ? Sounds like it should be a great show ! :D
Steviewevie
Does anyone have any info on when things are likely to be starting on Saturday ? I know that the gates open at 9am, and we get given more details when we arrive, but does anyone have any ideas based on previous years ?

Traffic usually builds up as the morning goes by. somebody will be directing you as to where your car permit allocates, per club that is. what will happen on that day should be in the website.

I had a look on the website before, because I expected there to be a timetable, but unless I've missed it there's nothing like that there.

Last time I went with the mr2oc club, I received a timetable with the tickets. when i went next time as a visitor, i was given one when I bought the ticket from the gate. Maybe they'll hand it over on site. It would be helpful to have one.

Anyway, I'll be aiming to stop by Chiveley stopover just before 9 am to get some breakfast. Anybody want to stop by? We'll convoy to CC afterwards.
edeath
hhmm i was thinking of turning up about 10. Icemahn i can try and meet you at Chiveley - breccy is always a good paln :). Anybody else in? No you Steve not sure the Yaris could keep up :P Only Joking!
