Better go Gold, you're gonna need all the discounts you can get.

Actually, I think if you just order some caliper stickers it would look a whole new vehicle

I don't see LOC stickers, or many places that you could stick them either come to think of it!
I saw a really funny bumper sticker on an MGB in the USA once. It read,
"The parts falling off this car are of the finest British quality"

Did you mean "finished restored" or " finished off"

Getting closer.
The wheels are scrap. The big front brakes wont fit inside them and the exhaust is soon to be replaced with a twin V8 system.
Its a shame. It will sound great and stop and go very well but it will always look like an unfinished funny looking design to me.
wot the hell. cheap and cheerful open top fun for the summer.
If anyone asks, the car under cover is a stag.

finally got there apart from a few little bits and bobs.
Big four pots calipers fitted and a Sherpa van servo but still only a puny 2 litre.
The wheely bin goes faster.

Good work fella

wow man, that's impressive
wish I could do something like that, I'm having trouble enough already trying to gather the courage to merely paint the calipers on mine!
...

hope ya wont mind me asking, but why a TR7? i mean it's not axactly the most desirable car one could think of
randyreindeer
July 17, 2003, 6:53 pm
I agree. Im not a fan of the 7 but my missus likes them. It was a bit of a diversion for me because i've dealt in stags for the last 13 years. [hence the randy reindeer name].
The 7 is cheap and [sometimes]cheerful, is easy to mod, [V8 sitting in the garage winking at me] and the parts supply is readily available.
I did think of getting her an MX5 but I would get bored waiting for it to break down and I think an SC and an S2000 Honda are still a fair bit to pricey.

been down the MG road. Not got on to a TVR yet. Probably the best sounding car about

I was lucky enough to have a guided tour around the TVR factory about 8 years ago. The guy who showed us around loved working there so much, he came in at weekends to show people around [so I was led to believe]
This guy was a wealth of knowledge talking about, amongst other things composites. I don't seem to remember him talking about SEACs but thats probably because I was oggling over there own new version of the V8 at the time and trying to see if I could shove one up my coat.

The 99.9% finished article. Its great fun to drive despite being an asthmatic 2litre. No one knows what it is and lots of people laugh but its better than walkin and the top is down more than its up. Sadly, the lexter has to move on. We have been seduced by another 300ZX TT. But thats another story for another forum.
