Hello.

The pixels on the stereo head unit failed, which I understand is a common problem, on my '99 GS300 head unit. I've taken the unit to Maple Audio www.mapleaudio.co.uk 01225 442180. They are charging £189 to fix it. I think this is a good price, as I've been quoted £500 by Lexus for a new unit. They offer a postal service too.Hope this helps.

If this is the "standard" OEM Pioneer-mnufatures unit....rip it out! :D Its not that hard to replace with an ordinary aftermarket HU ;)

There are a number of historical posts on this. The screen was abour Euro50+postage so the cost is a little high. On one American site it tells you how to remove the head unit to do the repair... if you are feeling confident.
