Great work Chris ! Did you use your usual tyre foamer on the plastics in the engine bay ? What about the metal in the engine bay, did you just give that a good wash ?

Yes mate it worked a treat to be honest, have to be a bit carefull around the boot area with it so the heads dont catch and around the door handles, but apart from that it worked great, when i'd finished using it i had no arm ache/back ache and the finish was spot on to me and a very big improvement
So to me it was worth the money i'd spent on the smartool polisher even though it wasnt that much, used mainly auto glym products doing the red one but hopefully i'll have a few more bottles of potions to try on mine? Mine hasnt been polished for some time so hopefully it'll have a great shine when done
is that not your car that you have polished, have i got the right end of the stick.

Sounds really good for the price you got it for - I'm not looking forward to doing mine cos of the impending arm ache! Does the vibration make your hands feel tingly for a while later or does the double head thing work?

Nice work as usual, gave mine a polish the other day just a quick going over with original Turtle wax but was actually quite happy with the results, well untill I picked my daughter up from school the car park there's just dust, wasn't impressed but nothing a microfibre cloth didn't fix

clay bar next I think:winky:

Hello Chris I have just been looking at the pictures of your polished LEX---Some machine you have there, can you give me some info please
my old 97 ls400 is in need of a pick me up. just a few questions (Tyre dandy tyre foam,Clay bar,and Smart tool polisher). Where can I get
these items from? I am fairly new to L.O.C. and I find there is so much information on the club pages it is a bit mind blowing.
Hope you can help me out cheers Sam

You can get Tyre Dandy foam from eBay. As for a clay bar, there are lots of different ones around. One example is the Bilt-hamber Auto-clay soft, which you can get from Opie Oils here.
I'll leave Chris to comment further, especially on his polisher.

There's more on how to use Bilt-Hamber's Auto-clay on their website here, including a downloadable PDF about it. One big advantage of Auto-clay versus other competing products is that you can just use regular water as a lubricant for the clay. Most other clays require you to use something special, e.g. some sort of spray in a bottle that you have to buy.

I think you should ask Autosmart for some commission for Tyre Dandy sales Chris, I bought some on your recommendation and I think dozens of us on here probably have !

Hello Mates I have got the clay bar,and the tyre foam, and every thing is working fine. I have also searched for the smart tool polisher but to no avail,
but I have found 3 on E-Bay The first is Silverstorm @ £ 62-95 from Clean Chem, second is from Dyno-power @ £ 44-99, the third is Silver Line @ £ 39-00
Has anyone heard of these polishers, and used them if so what was the result?
Cheers Sam
