Over the last couple of thousand miles, which is only about 6 months of driving, ive noticed a rattling noise thats causing me to almost go insane! It tends to happen when doing a variation of speeds and sounds like its coming from the roof. Not sure if its the roof lining, sun roof or what. Anybody have this develop on theirs?

Im eager to resolve this as maybe the catalyst in me selling the car, silly I know but its p'ing right off!

not sure to be honest, i never had a problem with noises, as i play my music soo high lol even my current astra theres loads of rattling from the engine bay which doesnt bother me as i never hear it with the music lol

Its a rattle. Like something is lose. It started after we had the freezing cold weather. I've googled it and it seems to be a common-ish problem that often occurs with extreme weather changes.

I've had a quick look under the roof lining to see if anything is rattling. Others have said on other forums that it maybe the aerial cable that has worked lose and is rattling under vibration. With a bit of a prod and pull it may have cured it. If not it means me taking the roof lining down completely over the weekend. The rattle is coming from the passenger side towards the back of the sun roof. Will update this for future reference should other members have similar problems in future. mine sort of squeaks in the same place but only after i had taken out the headlining to retrim it
