ive blown it :angry: :angry:

stone chip middle of bonnet
should i get it fixed or wait for a few more (inevitable)

whats a good temporary measure :question: :question: :question:
i didnt get any touch up when i got the car ,didnt ask as thought it might be an omen

but - didn't know how much of a handyman you are, so thought I would mention it.


I am gonna go and see my local chipsaway guy on Sunday (having just been quoted 650 plus VAT from lexus) -can let you know how I get on?

Do I what I did. Try to fit your lexus into the boot of a Vectra somewhere on the M5 (doesn't fit btw, not even nearly). Then claim on your protected no claims. You get a nice new bonnet and bumper, newly sprayed and completely free of stone chips. :P

Disclaimer:
Deliberately driving into the back of Vectras, or any other vehicle for that matter, is irresponsible and will probably hurt. Do not try this at home (or on the Motorway)! :unsure:

had the car since september 1st 2002 d still havent got a stone chip.............. got quite a few dead fly's and things on the front bumper though

Have a look at the Anti Chip Paint topic in this section, I had mine resprayed at the exspense of Lexus GB.

looked at their site but couldnt come up with local one on postcode search

problem is you feel that if you do one another will appear a week later :duh:

could allways wait for a lot and play dot to dot
have competition who can make best pic :lol: :lol:

a chipsaway guy in Chessington Road in Epsom

lucky or what (not so sure though)

whilst out this morn happen to pass chipsaway van
asked how much for 1 stone chip
estimated £75 to £80 +vat
thinks ill wait for a few more chips to appear

used one of those crayon things for temporary

Have you tried going back to the dealers and asking for a tin of paint

i thought they all came with it.......or am i being :iraqi-info-minister:

just a thought.

All Toyota/ Lexus should come with a tin of touch up paint. See your dealer.
