I have a contact with genuine 10" rear wheels from a mk1 gs 300. I was wondering what the widest tyre is that i could run. I would think 275/35/18 or maybe 285/35/18. Anyone running a set.?

With 10" tyres you can go up to 285 tyres and have them fitting properly.
EDIT - hmm, think I was a bit tired when I posted, edited some stuff out which was wrong !

I used 275/35/18 for 6 years......can see no reason to go any wider for road use.

I know of one person who ran 285's and they used to rub, so 275 is the safest bet unless you want to start rolling the arch lip.

Yea thats why i was askin as i run 275/30/19s on my supra. They did rub a bit so i got my hammer out but i would prefere to not have to not have the aggro again.

I ran 285s without any problems.

I have tried 285's and they rubbed quite badly.
I was going to get the rear arch inner lip rolled but due to a spot of luck was able to swap them for a pair of 275's and all is well now.
