hi all just a quick question has anyone tried or using gmax lowering springs as ive seen a set for around £97 and wondering if any of you have lowered your mk1 gs on these items as i am finding it hard to find springs as another option are coilovers but that will be for a later time for know i need to lower the great white beast so i can put on 18's or 19's any help will be appreciated

I nearly bought a set of these for my Mk1. I called them to check they were in stock and they never were, even though they were advertised for sale on eBay. They also had no idea when they would get them either. In the end, I did not purchase!

As for what they would look like, they are 10mm lower than the standard sport springs, I have no idea how much they would sag on-top of this after some use.

If they are 10mm lower than the Sport springs, they would be pretty hard to live with I would expect on a day to day basis. Being such a long car, it is very easy to get "beached" on speed humps, kerbs etc even on the Sport height. No idea on the GMax springs, never saw them when I was looking, but I went for the [i]RS*R Super Down[/i] springs for mine, very happy with them. They were nowhere near as cheap, and took a long time by boat from Japan, but still very happy.

Saw these on fleebay if anyone is looking for springs / shockers etc.
