I recently bought a 1991 celsior with 90,000 miles on the clock.

Overall I'm very impressed with the car however I get the nagging suspicion something is not right with the air ride suspension.

It goes to full height fine, lowers fine but when I push on the front end of the car it bounces a couple of times... this also happens over speed bumps and suchlike to the point the wheels catch the arches, the suspension travel is so far.

However if I engage sport mode the problem goes away and everything firms up nicely.

Surely "normal" should not be so soft and bouncy?

The car is fitted with an aftermarket ride height adjuster and I have fiddled with that but it seems to make little difference, other than alter the cars height. I noticed as well the car likes to jack itself up higher after being left off and then started again.

I have to use the manual controller to lower the car down again.

Any suggestions are appreciated...

If I need to take the car to the dealership to have a diagnosis done, how much will this set me back?... cheers
