Hi everybody, i have a few questions regarding the mk1 gs300 sport.

basically i love this car but being 12 years old its showing its age in a few areas and i would like to rectify them or update. basically here is the list of things i would like to do, and also if anybody has anymore information or suggestions i would be happy to hear.

1) Replace steering wheel with mk2 half wood half leather

2) Replace gear knob with mk2 half wood half leather. ( although i dont know if them 2 parts are interchangeable so advice would be appreciated there)

3) Front and Rear bumpers resprayed and parking sensors added. was also thinking parking camera but that would obviosly require a screen and i would rather keep the car factory looking. does the facelift ls400 satnav unit fit in the gs300?

4) hid headlights. anybody done this and have pictures.

5) replace all bulbs with white leds.

i have washed and clayed the car recently and next is polish and carnuba wax. it will then be going in for service.

i have fitted hid's to my mk2 and it was pish easy job . plug n play

any pic of car ..i wana see the magic of carnuba wax

i havent polished or waxed the car yet. only washed and clayed. i have pics but it was on ls rims at the time, sports with 10" rears are back on. getting it serviced soon then comes the mods in the list. above, ill get the pics now

I've done hids on mine, 6000k ones and they look and perform fantastically. I did have white led side lights at the front but one started flashing so they got swapped out for normal bulbs and haven't got replacements yet. The white leds do match the colour of the hids much better.

No idea on fitting the later wheel and gear knob. Also no idea on the ls400 stereo, but I would not expect any other Lexus units to fit.

I'll try and get some pics. I think there is a pic Aztec did at one of the midland meets that has the car with the lights on, only in daylight though but does still show the colour temp. If I can find the pic I'll post it up, just a bit slow on the web when I'm using the iPhone
