Full Version: 1/4 Mile Times Anyone ?

Just wondering if anyone with a charger or turbo has done any 1/4 times and what time would a stock is200 do ?

I used to like the odd drag in my starlet but dont want to be embarrassed with the lexus..

not the best for 1/4 miles due to the gearing

I did one a few years ago a the best track day we had at Bruntingthorpe. Managed a 15.80 at 88mph, with a dodgy clutch :)

Not sure if thats good or bad, but its what I got.

Pretty good I would say Lee. Take it that was with charger fitted etc.

with or with out its still not good, :unsure: thats why there are alot of guys doing engine swaps, me being one of them :whistling:

I think someone at Japfest got a 15.4 second, thats with a twin turbo conversion. But that was because of dodgey launchs, and couldnt get the power onto the tarmac, as it was too slipery

and not with the power the car was expected to have.

My clutch was not working that day, the release bearing broke, so I didn't have the chance to run up the strip.

Sparky also didn't have TC so that didn't help matters, hitting the rev limiter seriously limits performance.
