Sorry for being more than a bit thick, but, does the IS200 sport have a DM flwheel. If not, can you fit one, and any idea of cost??

all is200 have dual mass flywheels as far as im aware.

asi is right all have them you can walk in and buy one for approx £800 but for me i can get one for approx £500.

would be better if you go for a lightweight flywheel.

That depends..

If the car is daily driven.. then a lighter flywheel would make the car require more revs to set off

i meant as if it needs replaced then lightweight would be better as its cheaper than a dual mass one sorry for being confusing.

But a ligher flywheel would have other impacts as well

i suppose but if i had to replace a flywheel i will chose that route

I had a customer with a 97 Civic Vti once who needed a clutch fitting & he supplied me a very light weight (racing) flywheel at the same time, made by Fidenza IIRR. After fitting he complained that the car lost torque (Civic's don't have much to start with) & suffered erratic idle & stalling issues.

As a result daily driving became a chore for him although it was O.K for high RPM spirited A road driving. Luckly I saved the old flywheel.....
