Looks COOL, Sanj, B)
Hope it don't make you slouch.......
Parthiban
wots the flap next to the handbrake? :withstupid:
Geoffers
That is better than the ones that come factory fitted. In mine, there is a gap underneath and it lets the look down a bit. You can see what's in the compartment underneath.
P4UL T
U mean the cup holders???

Joking aside...the armrest does make a difference... :D
Lexus should have done that as an optional on manuals!!!

reckon you have a newer IS mate - with sat nav?

but I have only one cup holder there, and thats uncovered.

have been in other IS's (new) - and they have this two, covered, cup holder arrangement
ifraz
Looks excellent Sanj. :P
I guess you didn't need the diagrams with the instructions then.
Did it take long to fit? I will be attempting to fit mine next week.
Steve
you mean the pathetic cup holder that the IS has :yack:

you have to have double jointed wrists to get the cup out of the holder.

mine glides out of the dash... nice!.. hold most bottles and cups.

I think the cup holders are the same on newer models, as long as you don't have Sat Nav, The Sat Nav controller changed, on the earlier models if was long and straight taking up half the space, on the newer one's they are squarish meaning there is a cup holder behind it - if that makes sense!
Fargo
so people, now you have the armrest, as do i, how do you fit these or namely how do you get access to the underneath of the centre console to screw up and through too the armrest.. i have found these instructions but they aint very clear, what it the "center shifter area" :iraqi-info-minister:

Pop up and remove center shifter area,3 electrical plugs, 6phillip
screws, carefully lift on back end of console

Remove lid and hinge from console

6 more screws to remove

Place new armrest on top, 4 screws with washers are provided to attach
from underneath, drill pilot holes to start them off
Mr-Lex

Yeh mate, you need to join Gold and information will be available or click on one of the links above :winky:
Maz
the link not there any more? need to find out how to fit this arm rest for a friend...anyone know how?
Brettster
Really easy to fit
unscrew the centre console
2 at the front on the sides
and 2 more under the felt in the box thing
once its off you turn it upside down
remove the flap for thr box
put your armrest where you want it and drill some holes thru the plastic and into the wood of the arm rest.
put 4 screws in and its done
refit the center console plastic

what size screws do i use to fit the armrest Brett, wheni got this armrest it didnt come with any...
Brettster
the ones that came with mine were just normal wood screws
about 1.5" long
nothing special
its just to hold the wood to the plastic
