Washed and polished wife's car today and when moving my GS 430 back to parked outside house heard a strange noise which seemed to emanate from rear wheels. Took car to Lexus Coventry where they diagnosed rear brake pads needed replacing....down to 1mm. panicked slightly as taking mother-in-law and wife away to Withernsea tomorrow for a break and it is 4pm. As usual all was well at Lexus Coventry and they replaced rear pads and cleaned calipers by 5pm. Brilliant service as the car was not booked in. I called in just to check what the noise was so I was really pleased that they not only diagnosed the problem but also fixed it within the hour (2 techs working....1 on each wheel) and thus meaning no problem with going away. May well have cost more than elsewhere but worth it for the service one gets from Lexus dealers ....... in my experience anyway over the last 7.5 years.
