Hi all,
I would like to ask a question about GS300`s as I have only been with LEXUS for 2 years after a dear friend since departed, interduced me to LEXUS and I have never looked back from buying his GS300 mk2
The question is are all GS 300`s 24v or was it optional
katana92_uk
32v i think

GS 430 is 32v. GS300 is 24v.
:whistling: I can't see how a 6 cylinder engine could have 32 valves.

What exactly is the question? The GS300 has a 3ltr straight 6 with 24V (4 valves per cylinder right?) - I'm not entirely sure what the question is as the number of valves is not an optional extra like satnav would be for example
TigerFish
Agree with the above, the GS300 is a 24 valve as standard, with no other option.

That was the question I was not sure myself? I was just asking as for ford granada for example 3ltr as 12v or (24v which was a cosworth) and i was thinking LEXUS did the same kind of options 12v or 24v,so your saying 24v is standard

Ahh right, yes the GS300 only had one engine - Lexus have always gone for simplicity of choice, hence small engine choice, few trim levels and few optional extras :)

Entry level already being way up the scale compared to entry level on some other luxury brands, of course: :-)

Thank you eXOBex, as I said in my post I have only been with LEXUS for 2 years and wasnt sure about the engines and I know you cant conpaire LEXUS with other luxury cars as I have found out in 2 years of owning a LEXUS, I have driven and owned many cars over the years and LEXUS tops them all by far.
Anyway thanks for your answer and many thanks
Don
