I need to change the batterys in my remote for the locking .can i just take them out and put in new ones or will it need to be reprogramed by lexus.

[i]Best take it to your dealer because they can be a bugger to do and if left apart after so many seconds can wipe the code from the remote[/i]

I had mine changed recently for a tenner at my local dealer.
It is certainly woth it even if you do have a 20mile journey.
The remote now works from a distance of upto 20m+ rather than 20cm+.

Sounds like a good argument for keyless entry!
Well if its good enough for the Nissan Micra, you;'d think they could run to it on the Entire Lexus Range...
