After talking to the insurance company yesterday... I'm not doing anything to the engine or suspension for a while

The Eibach springs would add 230 quid a year... on top of 1200 quid!

me thinks you should check out the insurnace availble via Gold,, they will allow me any mod without an increase in price.

I'm going to at next renewal...
... Unfortunatly 'white van man'
drove into the back of my IS last August... and is causing lots of hassle, so I have to stay with my insurance company, because I lost my no-claims getting it repaired, and don't get it back until it's all sorted 
unless they it up and then I'm stuffed!

or is this where the ins/co is'nt playing ball?
have you enquired about protected no claims,if you qualify its worth it.
