the dreaded LEXUS corrosion
A trip to your dealer will sort it..... with a new set of
refurbished alloys,f.o.c. under warranty
and they look better than originals

i thought the wheels on the is were prone to corrosion and not the gs.
is corrosion of the wheels a registered complaint with lexus i.e is it definatly covered under warrenty.

The wheels on my GS fell apart so many times that I swapped them out for Mille Miglias

rodders,
do u think belfast would possibly change the wheels under warrenty. also have u herad of it being a known problem?

Mine went on all three GS's I have owned, the 430's went in under a year.
Its a known problem as Rodders has said................

Yep - just get in there and ask for your warranty replacements like it's a normal thing to ask - stand your ground mate
Mine are just over 3 years old, but still under full lexus warranty. Does this still apply?
I would think so - yes - depends on your warranty I guess. At over 3 years old, I doubt if it's Lexus warranty now - it'll be an insurance (something like Succession)

Hopefully Belfast will change the wheels, if im not mistaken the 3 year warranty is an anti-corroion warrenty.

I had them replaced on a 99T GS300 by Lexus at just under 70K miles as I had mentioned it to them before 60K. The car was about 30 months old. I am sure they will do it if the car is under 60K or 3 years from new.
