This may be of help to Lexus owners in the North.
I enquired about refurbishing alloys and alternatives a month ago and got some helpful guidance from Parthiban which helped me decide on refurbished wheels.
I used PX Wheels in Blackpool to buy some stripped and powder coated refurbed GS 300 5 spoke standard alloys.
The price was reasonable, service excellent and efficient.
Before refurbishment wheels are checked for alignment etc. My old wheels had caused me 4 years of uncertainty since they were damaged when I purchased the car and caused a wobble at 65 mph - something that Lexus denied. The 'new' ones are perfect in appearance and driveability and with new Falken tyres, my GS300 [2001] drives like a new car.
I have no connection but found Mike and Gordon and staff very professional in providing a quality service.

They are at the end of the M55 near a large retail and light industrial development so easy to find.

I got my replacement set for my IS200 from them a few years ago- as you say- their refurbs are good and they are good people to deal with.

I've seen these advertised on Ebay and are a similar price plus fitting to my local version in Kent but P/X seem to offer a better finish. My dilemma is that if i buy through P/X i will have to get the tyres changed myself and if they are chipped in the process there is no comeback but if my local one does the whole lot then no problem apart from the four week queue to get them done. I really whant them done gloss black to be a little different also, did you see the other refurb colours when you had yours done and did they look good?

Cheers but sadly WIM is a couple of hours from me. I may be being a bit paranoid about the chipping but the last thing i want is to shell out for the refurb and start off with it damaged.
