when you play the cassette does the CD drive switch itself off automatically?
I have noticed that it its the other way round, unless the cassette is ejected it continues to run.

sorry, i probably didnt make it very clear.
the second sentence should have been, when the Cd player is running unless the cassette is ejected it (cassette) continues to run.

thats not right i dont believe - the cassette stops playing if i change to cd in mine....

only used the tape player once or twice, but i'm sure it stops when you change the source

My stereo has a CD player, radio and a business card holder slot, am I missing something?

And once you've tried that out - can I suggest you load up the pancake holder with 6 of the finest pancakes you can buy (don't recommend the maple syrup though!)

Sorry sesha, we're not taking your post very seriously... I'm sure my CD switches off when I play a cassette, but to be honest I've probably used my cassette twice in 2 and half years.

I dont even know if my tape works as Ive never tried it
I poked my finger in the slot once to make sure it had some guts in there
but never put a tape in

I don't mind as long as you "digital" guys don't recommend to lexus, to get rid of the cassette player in their next edition of IS200!
