Hi all, in at Lexus M.Keynes yesterday and was surprised to see a white LFA outside but they would not let me have a drive and did not seem to take me seriously when I spoke of buying it, seems that is the UK's only 1 and so not for sale, he ho just have to put up with the 450h for a bit longer ! ( to the relief of the wife and bank manager ! ) Engine did sound sweet and willing.

What did you think of it mate? 330k's worth of motor....

Allegedly there is only one Lexus sales exec selling them in the UK and he's based in London, i can't imagine many will be sold here if any!

330k is the price but not sure any car can justify that figure, still gets stuck in every traffis jam ! or get you nicked for speeding if not stopped. Did look and sound good though.

The one sales exec in the UK does explain the dodgy looking bloke on a huge ego trip with it, had to smile at the tyres they looked very second hand so I guess this is the one thrashed by The Stig on Top Gear. People on here are talking about ISF tyres costing £900 each and lasting less then 5000 miles, thats nearly £1 per mile in tyre wear !!!!Think I will stay on Planet Real

£900 a tyre!!!! OMG!!! I'd rather have a Nissan anyways :whistling:
The Swede
Just a sec'... 330K GBP ???

:duh:

So I can get a Merc SLS for my daily commutes and an LP640 for the weekend for that price?? :whistling:
matt555
And that is what i don't get! if they are selling for £330k without making any money on them, then why not sell them for 100K???? Just seems so odd....

It's a hard one to judge really, the high price is to reflect its exclusivity and low production numbers.......there will only be 150 in total after all.

There's two ways of looking at it, one is that it is ridiculously expensive when compared to something like an SLS, but then is it that different from a McLaren SLR or Carrera GT? Those cars were the same price and no one said they were overpriced.......you can pretty much guarantee that you'll never see many of these on the road.....
Bazza
how much is the current veyron ??

and they supposidly dont make anything on them either :whistling:

Something like 900k? What I didn't understand is why they decided to go the way they did........a Lexus doesn't have the image to command that sort of price tag which is why they're getting so much stick.

So instead of selling 150 at £340k, I don't get why they didn't just have much higher production and sell them at £100k which would have been an absolute bargain - who's going to buy a 911 over the LFA?
